Preventative Dentistry

Decay happens when  bacteria in the mouth breakdown the sugars from your food and produce acid. This acid is what causes tooth decay, or a ‘hole’ in the tooth.

Restorative
Dentistry

At Wingewarra Dental we only place tooth-coloured restorations, or fillings. These composite resin and glass ionomer materials are much more aesthetic than the older-style amalgam fillings.

Root Canal
Treatment

Inside your tooth is something called the tooth pulp. This consists of nerves and blood vessels.  Deep decay or tooth fracture can expose the pulp to bacteria in your saliva and cause the pulp to die.

At Wingewarra Dental, we offer a take-home tooth whitening kit. This involves an initial assessment, impressions taken of your teeth and custom trays being made.

Dental Implants

When it comes to comfort, implant is the ideal treatment. The cost for placing one is worth the durability, comfort and aesthetic outcome. Our skilful team of dentists can help you decide on the most appropriate dental treatment for your needs.

Regular Check-ups

It is important that you come regularly to have your teeth checked. Regular check-ups means that any problems can be caught early. When problems are caught early they are easier to fix. Regular professional cleans means that your gums will be healthy and help to prevent gum disease. Good oral health is also important for good general health. Poor oral health has been linked to heart disease and diabetes.

At a check-up appointment our dentists will check your teeth, gum health and the soft tissues of your mouth. They may also take X-rays to check for decay or other areas they can’t see by just looking. We can send you a reminder for your dental check-up every 6 to 12 months depending on what the dentist recommends for you.
