Dr Bruce Gray
Dr Bruce Gray has been keeping Dubbo smiling for over 30 years. Having completing his Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Sydney in 1975, Dr Gray then moved to Dubbo to work in Church Street before relocating to 91 Wingewarra St Dental Surgery with Dr Anthony De Meyrick. Dr Gray has now been practising out of Wingewarra Dental Surgery for 18 years. Dr Gray is an active member of the Australian Dental Association (ADA), having also served on the on the Council for 16 years, and as President in 1988.
Dr Bruce Gray has completed many post-graduate courses in Continuing Education in Dentistry, Graduate Diploma of Clinical Dentistry (Oral Implants)-2003, he has participated in courses on Advanced Techniques in Regeneration of bone and soft tissue grafting. As well as continuously updating his own knowledge of dentistry, Dr Gray has lectured dental and medical student in general and paediatric dentistry, and oral implants, and also serves as a mentor for new graduates undertaking their Oral Implant Diploma. Dr Gray acts as a consulting dentist with his colleges here at Wingewarra Dental. Dr Gray is willing to go above and beyond for his patients to ensure that they receive the best quality care at Wingewarra Dental.
Dr Gray is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, and is Fellow of the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
Dr Gray is an active member of the community having been on multiple committees and boards over the years. Dr Gray has a wide range of interest including golf, travel, cars, art, theatre, he is also an avid skier so there is never a shortage of things to talk to him about and he is always up for a good laugh.
Dr Charles Wong
Dr Charles Wong was born and raised in Melbourne and completed his training in the Gold Coast (Griffith University). Prior to joining Wingewarra Dental, he was the Principal Dentist at Bathurst Dental Care for 10 years. Charles has a calm and gentle demeanour and is experienced in caring for a wide range of patients, particularly those who are anxious or have complex needs.
Charles is an empathetic clinician that takes time to understand each of his patients' unique circumstances before any treatment is commenced. He listens to his patients' preferences so that he can provide dental care in a comfortable and relaxing manner. .
Charles is very passionate about providing a high quality of care and is grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with Dr Bruce Gray in complex procedures. In his spare time, Charles teaches at CSU student clinic and also organises dental study groups for local dentists.. He is a keen advocate of Digital Photography (dSLR) and intraoral scanners, and looks forward to incorporating these technologies to make the patient's dental experience a smooth and seamless one.
Outside of dentistry, Charles enjoys spending time with his family and young children. He has a range of interests including tennis, soccer, travel and music. Charles enjoys spending time building long term relationships with his patients and their families. Charles is committed to serving the dental needs of the Dubbo community and is looking forward to working closely with the clinical team at Wingewarra Dental.
Dr Alvin Kwan
Dr. Alvin is an experienced dentist with advanced training in focusing on rehabilitation and implant dentistry. His expertise is in Restorative and Implant Dentistry. He provides services in private clinics across NSW and served as a clinical advisor to mentor junior dental graduates in his after hours.
Dr. Alvin graduated from Griffith University and has advanced his education by earning his Master's Degree of Science in Aesthetic Dentistry from a prestigious university King’s College London (ranked no 1 in the 2020 QS World University in Dentistry). Furthermore, he has completed his training in dental implant surgery through Graduate Diploma in Clinical Dentistry at the University of Sydney. He has earned Fellowships at the California Implant Institute and the International Congress of Oral Implantologist. He is also an Associated Fellow of the College of General Dentistry in the UK.
By completing this intensive formal postgraduate training, Dr. Alvin has acquired the latest knowledge and skills to provide evidence-based treatment in rehabilitation dentistry, implant dentistry, complex reconstruction, and oral surgery. Performing treatments and surgeries in private clinics and hospitals.
His philosophy in treating his patient is gentle care with a long-term prognosis is the best way to look after his patients and help them with their anxieties. Patients describe him as caring and humorous. Visiting a dentist should be free of stress.
Originally from Hong Kong, Dr Alvin is multilingual, fluent in English, Cantonese, and Mandarin. He lived and studied in 3 different countries around the globe. This background has given him unique experiences and exposed him to other cultures around the world with more understanding.
