Restorative Dentistry

At Wingewarra Dental we only place tooth-coloured restorations, or fillings. These composite resin and glass ionomer materials are much more aesthetic than the older-style amalgam fillings.

Composites are “bonded” to the tooth. This means that the dentist can be more conservative when repairing your teeth, meaning less tooth structure is removed.

It is impossible to predict how long a filling will last. The position, shape and functional pressure on the filling will affect how long it lasts. At your check-up, our dentists will monitor the state of your fillings looking for decay, cracks or discolouration.
